Google Wave – What is it?

Okay, before I begin let me say that I know little to nothing about the new Google Wave tool! In fact I just heard about it for the first time today. My research of the product has so far been fairly slim so far but I wanted to get more than just the hype. What I am hoping for is that this post will reach a large number of people that have actually tried the product.

From what I can tell so far Google Wave appears to be an awesome tool for instant communication. It’s sort of like being in a huge conference room with everyone and anyone you wanted to talk to with everyone typing their conversation on one big screen.

I was able to find a shortened video of Google’s introduction of the Google Wave demo at a developers conference. Take a look below:

I understand that if you get an invite you can start using Google Wave right now and be part of the beta team! If anyone knows how to get one of these invites please let me know because I would love to try it out.

You can only create them from scratch and copy-paste them. Remember that Wave isn't ready for public yet, so many more features will be added before it is finally released. What you're using is only a preview.
